Boat hire. for many years dating back to the nineteen hundreds, dedham has been known as the place to hire a rowing boat. we have carried on that tradition and have 26 clinker built rowing boats all for hire from 30 minutes to an hour or more for a leisurely row along the river stour.. Just pay a deposit and bring the boat back to us by 5pm at the latest ;- we will even loan you a lock key if you want a full day’s rowing through the locks towards guildford. please note last boats out on hire at 4.00pm and back by 5.00pm sharp please.. Boat hire. rowing boats, self drive motor boats, punts and canoes are available for hire from our boathouse in swan's nest lane. in our hire boats you can explore over 3 miles of peaceful river, enjoy a quiet picnic under the willows or simply laze on the river and have fun..
